- Testimonials or stories from the field
- Since 2015, Buddha Bir, a public school teacher, has been volunteering to manage health-related materials for his village, provided by Console Mission with support from World Concern. He then took on the role of coordinating volunteers to run the project. Now, alongside the ward chairperson, he oversees the work and supports the volunteers to ensure everything runs smoothly.
- Volunteer engagement strategy and how to join
- The first step is to learn about the work of the ward office, as this will help build communication and relationships with stakeholders.
- If the volunteer is an intern, they conduct a survey, identify needs, design a project, and implement it. As part of their studies, they are required to present their work at their respective colleges. However, other volunteers, such as those who have graduated from school or college, first learn and adapt to the working methods based on their capacity. They may eventually be promoted to employees.
