Parents appreciated it, as did the local authorities, because it benefits the children. And children are the future. In Nepali, there is a saying: “balbalika desh ka karnadhaar hun,” which means children are the caretakers of the country’s future. [Formation of a People’s/Parents’ Committee]
Could ambitious sports at school put children, mainly girls, to continue at school?

Ambitious sports programs in schools can indeed have a positive impact on keeping children, especially girls, engaged and continuing their education. Participation in sports has been shown to improve academic performance, boost self-confidence, and develop important life skills such as teamwork and leadership. Additionally, sports can provide a sense of belonging and motivation, which can help reduce dropout rates. Encouraging girls to participate in sports can also help break down gender stereotypes and promote gender equity.

Children in socially and geographically disadvantaged, culturally bounded communities in rural areas, where CoMi focuses, are less likely to have opportunities to join clubs or participate in games.

An An NGO known for its responsible approach to beneficiaries informed trainees during skill training that by communicating their progress, they could receive additional information and training from other professional institutes. A fourth-batch trainee from the rural areas of Lalitpur district sent a picture indicating she has started at her own house and is planning to begin in a place referred to as ‘vanjang’ in her village.
When mother is away from home, it is unsure children continue what is necessary. Therefore it is important that children are self-reliant and trained well by their parents. They must know their importance like “going to school“.
Woman, better under limitation, isn’t pusing society, as a whole backward?
Playing games for holistic development
In one village, Console Mission started an educational coaching class for children. And learning about child marriage and child labor, met Rabina, a teen mother. When she was aged below 8 she went to stay with her sister, outside from her village. There she studied until grade 2. She would have studied in her own village. But a similar story is found that when a sister or relative gets pregnant, someone like Rabina needs to give up their precious time of their life. When Rabina returned home, she had nothing then to get married. Because, girls are less or no value at birth home. There must be various situations where fathers can’t take care of their children. And they also, Rabina’s father had 2 wives, don’t care about managing. Instead push their daughter away or even son away so that the burden will be less.
