Partnering to create a community

In community everyone is a partner. Everything is in the right place. The world did not exist yesterday. Our ancestors fought great fights, faced various health and disaster, life threatening challenges. What is there is for a reason. To use it, for example to increase the facilities and services of a village Health Post, local people must use the available facilities and services. “Change is possible and comes soon or lately ” but it will.

To help is other is important of participants. A teacher is something when there are students. A guide or project can work when there is the participation of those people whom that is planned. Therefore, there is only one valuable partner for success. And without change visible in them, there is no success.

Starting of Console Mission (संस्थाकाे शुरूवात)

The writer of this post is one of the founder members. However, there were mainly 3 females played a role of initiator to start.

Based on their early meeting held in March 2010, they planned to start an elderly home. And it was started focusing that objective to start an elderly home. Among the 3, 2 were unmarried, they worked in the health sector and grew in a same village area. They went to the same school. They are well known because they did something different from what usually used to happen. They were supposed to get married; their parents want them and their relatives, but they left their village after completing their school for further study. Meeting the people from their area, the district from where the unification of modern Nepal begun, there are many who followed same ways of living and did not, mainly female, care about education.

One of them had a land and so as the plan, they designed a house with the help of engineer. But to build they needed to collect fund. At the time, they started visiting the elderly homes starting from the Government run, Shree Siddhi Shalikram or popularly known and Pashupati Briddha Ashram. The visit was to understand the situation and management. It was a rapport building or if deeply analyzed, that was a kind of pre-training visit. To understand the situation and addressing it through training was essential that later when training on health and management was started, participants from various elderly homes like it. To help the trainees to put the training into practice, nutritious food feeding programme, health checkup and counseling sessions were organized. In that way, a good network was developed, focusing the quality care by strengthening the capacity of the volunteers, managers and staffs of elderly homes of both small with about 5, medium 10 – 30 and large about 300 beneficiaries’ capacities.
