Life in a village is possible living together by helping each other. However, in an illiterate family where parents are not educated may give priority to their children's education by assisting to manage the educational materials and prepare food before they leave school and provide food after returning back from school. However, their needs are different linked to their school's education like guidance to prepare for examination and complete the after school's assignments. Since, their parents are illiterate, they at least deserve to get an environment where they get a chance to concentrate and solve the studying problems. However, that could remain as expected. Rather, when children are studying they must prepare food for their family while their parents work in the field or go to collect woods for cooking or grass for their goats and buffalos.
Children have less time at home because school is far away. In the working areas of Console Mission, children after completing grade 8 must walk to school that takes more than 2 hours. They have to spend more than 4 hours journeying. And, because of the unavailability of education from which they could get help in their education, children fail in their exam or get less marks. And, the other challenge is that joining college or vocational studies courses or technical courses is so costly that many children stop going to school.
In this situation, Our Study Place is trying to give an environment for education and moreover, it is helping the parents to understand that education is important. Since 2018 the test project has continued to impact the study, school going habits and discipline of children has been an example that the neighboring villages are showing interest to send their children in the OSP. However, villages are far from each other. Although children went to the started OSP but could not continue because of the distance.
